In Memory of Mr. States

We had the privilege over the past couple of years of getting to know Mr. and Mrs. Jerry States.  (You may recognize them from It is Your Life:  The Moody Family).   Mr. States  had cancer for some time, and went home to be with the Lord August 4th, 2013.

In his honor and memory, we'd like to share a portion of his testimony with you (see video below). We're very thankful that he graciously and willingly allowed us to interview him in spite of his pain and fatigue.  It's been a blessing to our family, and we hope it is a blessing to you as well!

Mr. States' desire was to remain on earth as long as the Lord would use Him for His glory.   Even though he has departed, we believe the Lord will continue to work through his testimony and Godly example.

Just to let everyone know that Jerry is in heaven.  He left this earth at around 9:30 this morning.  It was a hard 5 days but he was so brave.  Never complained except to say now I know what dying is like and I never thought it would be this hard.  He finished well...Thanks for your prayers.

    Such a wonderfully powerful God fearing message. This is one amazing man that allowed God to ue him in such a great way. The States have given me hope, as my DH is not a practicing Christian - while saved he has fallen to the wayside and allowed that that is in earth to fill his time. This has given me such great hope. What am amazing man, with such a faithful wife. I pray that God reaches my family in such a way as this. My family will keep this family in our prayers. The world has lost a wonderful spokesman for God in his passing. I wish I had gotten a chance to meet him.
